Alex O’Loughlin’s “The Backup Plan” DVD Release

Nice Girls are long-time fans of Alex O’Loughlin, ever since his Moonlight days. A few of us met because of Moonlight. So when we heard about him doing this movie, co-starring Jennifer Lopez, and that it was to be a rom-com, this Nice Girl was over the moon. I love romantic comedies and I rarely miss one. I knew that Alex would be perfect for this type of role and couldn’t wait for the movie to release. I was right!

I also knew that I would be adding the DVD to my collection as soon as it was available. I don’t have much longer to wait. On August 24, The Backup Plan will be released on DVD, and I will be first in line for my purchase.

Jennifer Lopez stars as Zoe, a single New Yorker who dreams about meeting Mr. Right, having a baby and living happily ever after. But after a string of Mr. Wrongs, Zoe commits to her back-up plan: to take on motherhood alone. Zoe’s plan proves far from foolproof when moments after her procedure she’s swept up into a whirlwind romance with Stan (Alex O’Loughlin), the man of her dreams. Can Zoe hide her pregnancy until Stan is ready for the truth? Or will the truth send him packing? The Back-Up Plan is a hilarious romantic comedy about courtship, love, marriage and parenthood – but not necessarily in that order! The movie also stars Eric Christian Olsen, Linda Lavin and the hilarious Anthony Anderson.
