They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 57)

Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving of more attention or perhaps even their own show:

Caterina Scorsone

Caterina Scorsone – Caterina has been acting since she was a child, starting out in episodes of Goosebumps. She is probably best known for her role in the recent Syfy movie Alice, but also appeared in the series 1-800-Missing. She appeared in several episodes of the TV series Crash and guest starred in The Guard and Castle. Her movie work includes Edge of Darkness. Most recently she has appeared in Private Practice.

Brenda Strong

Brenda Strong – Brenda has a long resume of television and film work, starting with guest roles in St. Elsewhere and MacGyver followed by appearances in Dallas, Matlock and Father Dowling Mysteries. She appeared in several episodes of the classic series Twin Peaks, Party of Five, Seinfeld and Sports Night. Over the last 9 years, she has been seen in Ally McBeal, CSI, 7th Heaven, Nip/Tuck and Everwood. However, she is best known for her role (or more specifically her voice-over work) in Desperate Housewives. She also appeared in the original sci-fi flick Starship Troopers, The Craft and Malice.

Annie Wersching

Annie Wersching – Annie is best known for her tragic role in the series 24, she got her start in episodes of Enterprise, Birds of Prey, Frasier, Angel and Charmed. She also appeared in guest roles in Cold Case, Boston Legal and Supernatural before landing a role in the soap opera General Hospital. She had a small role in the movie Bruce Almighty and will be seen in the movie Below the Beltway with Sarah Chalke and Tate Donovan.

Ethan Peck

Ethan Peck – Ethan starredd in 10 Things I Hate About You, the half-hour comedy on ABC Family Channel, but prior to that he appeared in episodes of The Drew Carey Show, That 70’s Show and appeared in the Olsen Twins movie Passport to Paris. He will soon be seen in the box office movie The Sorcerer’s Apprentice with Nicholas Cage and Jay Baruchel.   It should also be noted that Ethan is the grandson of the late and legendary actor Gregory Peck.

J. August Richards

J. August Richards – Prior to his well known role in the WB hit series Angel, J. August appeared in episodes of Space: Above and Beyond, JAG, Diagnosis Murder, Sliders, Moesha, The West Wing, The Practice and Nash Bridges. He also appeared in the made-for-TV movies The Temptations and Why Do Fools Fall in Love. More recently he starred in the short-lived shows Conviction and Raising the Bar. He also starred as young Richard Webber in Grey’s Anatomy.

Ryan Sypek

Ryan Sypek – Ryan got his first break in the ABC Family Channel series Wildfire and followed that role with appearances in Greek and How I Met Your Mother. He appeared in the pilot of the half-hour comedy Happy Endings and will be seen in the movie The Last Harbor.
