They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 44)

Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving of more attention or perhaps even their own show:

Emily Bergl

Emily Bergl – Emily got her start in the sequel The Rage: Carrie 2 followed by guest appearances in ER and Providence. She then had a pivotal role in the mini-series Taken on the then Sci-Fi Channel. She had guest roles in Gilmore Girls, Enterprise, CSI: Miami and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. She had a regular role in the short-lived series Men In Trees. Her most recent work has been in Medium, Southland and The Good Wife.

Teryl Rothery

Teryl Rothery – Teryl is best known for her role in the long-running series Stargate: SG-1, but she has a lengthy resume with lots of appearances on TV and in many films dating back to the early 1990s. More recently she has appeared in episodes of Psych, Supernatural and Eureka. She also had a recurring role in Kyle XY, has appeared in Smallville and Caprica and will be seen in the new ION series The Guard. She also appeared in the made-for-TV Syfy movie Alice.

Becky Wahlstrom

Becky Wahlstrom – Becky is probably best remembered for her role in the series Joan of Arcadia, but since then she has appeared in episodes of Strong Medicine, CSI, Grey’s Anatomy and Bones. More recently she has guest starred in Women’s Murder Club, Saving Grace, Numb3rs, Cold Case and 24.

Bailey Chase

Bailey Chase – Most viewers will know Bailey from his role in the TNT series Saving Grace, but prior to that he appeared in several episodes of Castle, Ugly Betty and Las Vegas and made guest appearances in Cold Case, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Criminal Minds and CSI. Earlier in his career, he appeared in a number of episodes of As the World Turns and Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. He also appeared in the movie Crossing Over.

Carlo Rota

Carlo Rota – Carlo’s face and voice are probably more recognizable than this name, but he has a long resume of television work including early appearances on Forever Knight, Viper and The Sentinel. He had a recurring role in the series La Femme Nikita, Queer As Folk and 24 (as Chloe’s husband). More recently he has appeared in White Collar, Stargate Universe, Castle and CSI: NY. His movie roles include Saw V and the made-for-TV movie A Nero Wolfe Mystery with Timothy Hutton.

Zak Santiago

Zak Santiago – Some of his early work was appearing in Seven Days, Viper and Higher Ground as well as a recurring role in the short-lived series The Crow: Stairway to Heaven. He then guest starred in Dark Angel, The Dead Zone, Dead Like Me and Stargate: SG-1. He made appearances in the short-lived series Kingdom Hospital and Young Blades. He appeared in the made-for-TV movies Flight 93 and A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story. Later he guest starred in episodes of Smallville, Eureka, The 4400, Stargate Universe and Human Target. More recently he was seen in the Syfy movie Alice. He will soon be seen in the made-for-TV movies At Risk and The Front and the Syfy series Caprica.
