They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 8)

Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving to get more attention or perhaps even their own show:

Michelle Forbes

Michelle Forbes

Michelle Forbes – Before she appeared on Battlestar Galactica, before her guest starring role in True Blood even before her one time role in Lost, Michelle was in Guiding Light and then she joined the sci-fi realm via Star Trek: The Next Generation. She has appeared in Homicide: Life on the Street, The District, 24, Prison Break, Wonderland and In Treatment. Her voice will be featured in The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (the video game) and she is back on True Blood this summer.

Amanda Foreman

Amanda Foreman

Amanda Foreman – Amanda is best known for her role as Meghan Rotundi in Felicity, but she is also recognized for her work on Alias and What About Brian. She’s been seen in the TV movies All I Want For Christmas and McBride: Requiem.  Most recently she has appeared in the series In Plain Sight and Private Practice.  She has had a small role in the box office hit Star Trek.

Julie Gonzalo

Julie Gonzalo

Julie Gonzalo – Julie was most recently seen in Eli Stone alongside Jonny Lee Miller and was part of the cast of the third season of Veronica Mars. She has appeared in the movies A Cinderella Story, Christmas with the Kranks, Must Love Dogs and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.  She will be seen in March 2010 in the new NBC drama Day One.

Christopher Gartin

Christopher Gartin

Christopher Gartin – Christopher has been acting since the mid-1980’s, making one of his first appearances in the series Aaron’s Way, he then appeared in the Danielle Steel made-for-TV movie Changes and had guest starring roles in Baywatch, Melrose Place and Party of Five. In recent years, he has appeared in Crossing Jordan, American Dreams and House. He may be more recognizable, though, as Rick Purdy in Lifetime’s short-run series Side Order of Life. He’ll be seen in the movie Son of Mourning with Heather Graham and Jamie-Lynn Sigler and The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard with Jeremy Piven, Kathryn Hahn and Ving Rhames.

Chris Gauthier

Chris Gauthier

Chris Gauthier – Most folks will remember Chris either from his recent role in the CBS series Harper’s Island or from his recurring role in the SyFy Channel series Eureka, but he has also appeared in Supernatural, Smallville, Stargate: Atlantis, Reaper and Psych. His movie work includes 40 Day and 40 Nights, Freddy vs. Jason, The Butterfly Effect 2 and the made-for-TV movie Earthsea.  He had a small role in the box office movie Watchmen and can be seen in the George Lopez movie Mr. Troop Mom.

Dan Gauthier

Dan Gauthier

Dan Gauthier – Dan is known to some for his work in the soap opera world, having guest starred recently in One Life to Live and All My Children, but he got his start as Johnny McKay in Tour of Duty and then moved on to guest star in Sisters and Ellen and was also in the short-lived series Courthouse. He also appeared in Beverly Hills, 90210 and Melrose Place and later guest starred in Will & Grace, Charmed, Supernatural and The New Adventures of Old Christine. Most recently he was seen as the doomed co-pilot on Lost (when the survivors went back to the island).  He has one project in the works called Forget Me Not.
