Holiday Greetings from a Nice Girl

Since my column falls on Fridays, this will be my last post until the New Year. I couldn’t let this day pass without sending out wishes to certain people.
First off, to all the fine and fun people from New Media Strategies and Electric Artists. We’ve had so much fun throughout the year doing promos and giveaways and playing online games at USA’s Character Arcade (darn you, Terry!), not to mention Comic Con and the conference calls we’ve sat. It’s been a whirlwind year with these fine folks and I”m looking forward to working with them a lot next year. And with USA Network’s numerous hit television shows, it should be exciting!
Next, I’d like to send out a big HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all our Nice Boys. T J Thyne, Josh Malina, Eddie McClintock, Hart Hanson and Misha Collins, in particular, have kept us hopping on Twitter and emails. I wish them all the very best during the season – and more work for Josh.
Finally, to my fellow Nice Girls, Melissa and Louise: may your gift bags never be empty, for you have certainly given me much. And to our newest Nice Girls, Rueben and Tiffany: what wonderful talent and ideas you’ve both brought to our little site, making it not so little anymore. Happy Holidays to you both! And to Ed Gross, founder of SciFiTVZone.com, thanks for running a place where we can indulge our science fiction tendencies. Live long and prosper, my friend!
Last, but certainly not least, I wish all of you kind readers, and your families, a warm and wonderful Holiday season, from my home to yours.

Nice Boy of the Week: Tim DeKay

Tim DeKay is Peter Burke in USA's hit series "White Collar" / Photo: NBC
Please join us in congratulating our first Nice Boy in December, Tim DeKay! Tim has become a favorite with Nice Girls since USA’s White Collar became such a hit. His character is paired so perfectly with Matt Bomer’s Neal Caffrey.
Theater-goers are well acquainted with Tim’s work on the stage. On Broadway, he was seen in The Show-Off; off Broadway, in Billy Budd; touring in The Lion in Winter. Tim has appeared in local theaters in such shows as Burning Blue, Someone to Watch Over Me and Star Fever.
Tim’s feature credits include Get Smart, The Chumscrubber, Walkout, The Peaceful Warrior and Control. Television credits include Brothers & Sisters, The New Adventures of Old Christine, My Name Is Earl, Everwood, Party of Five and Seinfeld. He has also guest starred on CSI, Without A Trace and Friends.
Married with two children, Tim’s life is anything but dull. I think I like him best as Peter Burke in White Collar. First impressions had us believing that Peter was a hard-nosed, strictly by-the-book, FBI agent, but I think Neal Caffrey’s charm, sense of humor and easy-going personality are softening the veteran agent up more than he’d like to admit.
Tim plays a tough guy, but here, he’s every bit the Nice Boy.
Character Arcade’s Game of the Week: Spider Solitaire

Have you gone over to USA Network’s Character Arcade yet? They’ve got a new game of the Week going on and when you play, you will be eligible for a chance to win a Wii Party Bundle. So run on over to Character Arcade and play Spider Solitaire. Challenge your friends to a match or two! I’ve played all three levels and let me tell you, I didn’t last long playing with four suits.
Maybe you can do better, but you’ll never know by sitting in here! Play Spider Solitaire at USA Network’s Character Arcade.
Nice Girls Are Playing Games
I’ll be the first to admit it, I’m a sucker for online games. I don’t get a chance to play often, but now that I’ve freed myself from the curse that is Farmville and The Cafe on Facebook, I find that I actually have time for things like cleaning my house, caring for the kiddies, blogging about Nice Girls TV shows, and thanks to USA Network – playing more games! (Hearing the collective groan from my fellow Nice Girls.)
USA Character Arcade is feeding my addiction with a re-launch of their website featuring all the character games and other games, that you’ve all come to know and love. Felix RX is my new addiction, and the Game of the Week featured in our sidebar.
Some of the new features in the Character Arcade are:
-Facebook Connect Integration; sign in with your Facebook account & challenge friends
-Game of the Week promotion featuring weekly prize give-aways
-Point System to buy accessories and upgrade avatars [redeemable for physical rewards coming soon]
-New virtual trophy case
-New Games including MMO and downloadable PC Games
-A new gaming blog: http://theclik.characterarcade.com/
-A new Twitter feed: http://twitter.com/CharacterArcade
I’ve never played in USA’s playground before, so I really don’t have anything to compare this ‘new and improved’ arcade to, but I like the variety of games. I also like what you can do with your profile. In there, you can keep eyes on your favorite games, who is challenging you and challenge friends (or rivals). You will have a list of your high scores all collected in one tidy spot. You can make your personal icon up in different clothing, with accessories and special effects like floating flowers and thundering clouds. It’s these little touches that attract a gaming girl such as myself.
Some fun games to check out are Character Mahjong, Character Smash (Psyche’s Lassie didn’t fare well against my hammer), and Monk’s Germicide. Playing the Game of the Week gives you a chance at some pretty cool prizes, as mentioned in the above features. It’s a win – win, for me!
So who wants to take me on in Felix RX?
