Did You Know: TV, Music and Movie Trivia

By  |

Collecting entertainment trivia has been my favorite hobby of mine since I was a teenager; and for the most several months I have been compiling “Did You Know trivia items to share with our readers.

Here are more trivia tidbits from the worlds of music, TV and the movies. I would love to know if any of our readers knew about any of the items below:

MUSIC TRIVIA

The rock band Evanescence was formed by singer, pianist and songwriter Amy Lee and guitarist and songwriter Ben Moody. They met at a youth camp in 1994 and released several EP’s over the next few years. But it was in 2002 when they hit it big with their album ‘Fallen,’ which catapulted them into international stardom.

But within a year, Ben left the band over creative difference with Amy and it wasn’t that long after that that the other three members of the band also left. Amy then built up a new band with other members while Ben and the other members of the original Evanescence formed the band We Are the Fallen with American Idol contestant Carly Smithson providing lead vocals.

The first single by the band We Are the Fallen was “Bury Me Alive,” and it featured actress Jamie King (from the box office movie Pearl Harbor and the TV show Hart of Dixie). The video uses a funeral and burial as a metaphor in comparison to a relationship ending as a result of disillusionment.

NOTE: The video might be a little troubling for some so please be forewarned.

Patrick and Shaun’s mother is legendary actress and singer Shirley Jones, who played David’s mother in The Partridge Family.
