NOTORIOUS: Rocky Roads Ahead {Recap}

By  |

Notorious is past the death of Sarah Keaton, but this week’s “case” puts a strain between Julia (Piper Perabo) and Jake (Daniel Sanjata), as LHN chooses to follow a story over honoring an agreement between Julie, Jake and Jake’s client.

What To Do?

When a former news anchor’s daughter is accused of murder, Julia and Louise (Kate Jennings Grant) have to reconcile their past with the former anchor and also still be dogged in their work.

That idea comes to a head when the murder victim is found sleeping with this former anchor, and the accused’s mother.

But what is Julia to do when she wants to honor the relationship with her former boss (guest star Melina Kanakaredes) but still working for both Louise and Darrin Mills (Matt Walton)? The sex tape of the victim and the accused mother came from a vindictive neighbor, who also was the security system installer for the home.

It turns out Julia doesn’t have to do much because as Jake’s team investigates the tape and finds more than they bargain for: the victim, accused and their roommates are all part of some high-profile celebrity theft ring.

At the end of the case, however, Jake can’t take how Julia couldn’t (or didn’t) stand up to both Louise and Darrin. Which relationship is more important to Julia now: Jake and the way they work together in celebrity news or her duty to the show that pays her?

Hopefully there’s an answer soon, as the button at the end has me filled with dread.

Notorious airs on Thursdays at 9PM/8PM Central on ABC.
