NOTORIOUS: Women Get Stuff Done! {Recap}

Notorious digs into the questions of missing girls across the country while also giving the audience a few kernels about Sarah Keaton’s live before.

Missing Girls

LHL’s rival show started to run a story of a young blonde sixteen year old girl who sent missing and that story is cutting into LHL’s ratings. To cut into that story, Julia George (Piper Perabo) finds another missing girl, one less well known and one less popular in the press (a young Latina girl). Julia dives head over heels into the investigation of Rosa, following leads herself when it could be done by someone else in the show.

It matters to her what happened to all of these missing girls (a statistic in the show suggests that 600 girls go missing each day) and it matters that Julia can do something to affect change in the status quo. But it’s not just Julia that wants to get involved. Louise (Kate Jennings Grant) and Megan (Sepideh Moafi) are committed to getting to the heart of Rosa’s disappearance.

Dogged work and a few tears finally solve the case and Julia ends the day as a hero just for doing the work to look into these missing girls. She even does it without giving herself credit on air.

Sarah’s Past

Finally (and yes, it feels like too long), there’s something to Sarah’s past life that makes me care how and why she died. As a young girl in a conservative family, she lost her child and never mentioned anything to Oscar or Jake. As Jake makes a point of looking into the Keaton’s mail, he discovers that she had a storage unit where she recently had the password changed. A storage unit that also has Jake’s (Daniel Sanjata) name on it. After he leaves, the police turn over the unit and want to investigate the contents. But for what purpose is that investigation going on? The DA still doesn’t trust either Jake or Oscar, but what was Sarah keeping from everyone?

Really after Jake is arrested, how is everyone going to handle the news that in her storage unit was the murder weapon? Jake didn’t find it, or seem to notice it before.
