Comic Con

INTERVIEW: Arrow’s Willa Holland on Thea’s journey

By  |

We sat down with the Arrow cast this year at San Diego Comic Con to discuss last season and what’s to come this fall. It’s kind of crazy to realize that this is the third year that I’ve gotten the opportunity to meet the actors in the press room – it doesn’t get much better for an Arrow fan!

Willa Holland (Thea Queen) is always fun to chat with because she is so genuine – even in a loud press room, it’s like having one of your girlfriends over and sharing a glass a wine. In past years, we’ve discussed why we women feel the need/pressure to wear uncomfortable shoes for formal occasions and all sorts of other things (Stephen Amell’s abs!) that I’ve definitely sat around chatting with my friends about.

This year’s highlights:

  • This season, Thea will be working in Oliver’s cabinet now that he’s going to be the mayor and taking a break from vigilantism (at least for a while!)
  • She’s excited about the Arrow 100th episode, which is going to be a crazy cross-over between Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. She loves the opportunity to work with the cast from the other shows – they know each other, but rarely get to film together.
  • Her only prayer of doing a salmon ladder is if someone is holding her legs, but she’d be plenty happy to see Stephen Amell doing it again!

Watch all new episodes of Arrow starting Wednesday, October 5th on the CW!

Cay's family thinks her obsession with pop culture is "not normal". Normal is boring!
