The Nice Girls join TeamCoCo at Comic Con!

For the second year, Conan O’Brien brought his show to San Diego’s Spreckles theater during Comic Con week. Tickets weren’t easy to get, but Nice Girls Cay and Mynda scored close-up seats to the Thursday and Saturday tapings.

Cay: A friend scored the tickets and others in my group got in line at 5 am which got us seats in the first and second row, which was crazy good! The show taped at around 3:30 pm, and after being in the hot sun all morning in various lines, we were excited to get started. First they brought a bunch of people from the audience up for a dance off, before the cameras started rolling. Then there was the “warm up guy” and we were all pretty stoked by the time they started taping.

My favorite part was a video of Conan going to a famous costume house to learn how they make the superhero suits, and then getting one made for himself with plenty of er…enhancements. Then he came out on stage wearing the suit and strutted up the aisle right where I was sitting, showing off the suit. As you can see from my expression in the screencap below (my hands are up), I thought this bit was hilarious!

Cay clearly loves Conan's new suit!

The guests were Grant Gustin (The Flash), Stephen Amell (Arrow) and Melissa Benoist (Supergirl), which are some of my favorite actors, so that part was also great. The musical guest was a flashback to my childhood – Weird Al! Apparently not only is he still around and looking just like he did in 1985, he is also touring right now! Bruce Campbell (Ash vs the Evil Dead) showed up as well to help Conan with a big sandwich problem and Nick Kroll (Sausage Party) was carried up the aisle by 4 people in hot dog costumes.

Anyway, the audience was pumped, the jokes were funny and the guests were cool and a good time was had by all!

SS_Conan_JumpXMynda: When I applied for Conan tickets I didn’t expect to ACTUALLY get Suicide Squad Saturday! Thankfully the geek gods were smiling and therefore leaving me with the ULTIMATE CON DILEMMA! Conan taping or scheduled press room interviews. I LOVE both things. The energy of a interview room buzzing with reporters and cast members or the energy of a live taping with the cast of what is sure to be the hottest movie of the summer.

SS_Conan_KarmaMynxOh! The agony! Gratefully our editor, Mel, graciously came to the rescue and rearranged things so I could attend guilt free. Further kismit occurred when my friends Karma and Danielle got in line in the wee hours of Saturday determined to get a primo spot! I benefited from their hard work when they scored us seats up front!

As you can see from the video the cast came onto the Spreckles stage in grand style and was predictably amazing. What I will most remember is the joy of Con fans from all parts of the globe working together to have an unforgettable experience. It was beautiful!

Attending Suicide Squad cast who made us all long to be villains were, Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Cara Delevingne, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Karen Fukuhara, Jay Hernandez, and  Adam Beach.

Cay's family thinks her obsession with pop culture is "not normal". Normal is boring!
