UNDERGROUND: More from the Cast of WGN’s New Hit Series

By  |

We’re two episodes into WGN America’s newest show Underground and there are already too many questions that I’m dying to know answers to.

That’s lucky as we’re only two episodes in, and even back in August before I had a chance to watch the second episode, two of the cast, Adina Porter (The Newsroom, True Blood, The 100) and Amirah Vann shed some light on their dynamic characters who are facing difficult times as slaves in Georgia.

Here Porter talks about how she came to the show and how she generally approaches all her opportunities.

After the Pilot, where it is clear that there are more to each of these women, but as we saw last week, there really are layers, as Vann points out below.

Given what she did with the Master of the house, I think Vann’s more than right.

And when asked if they would ever get a chance to interact with each other, they had to say this. Porter also has some other insights into her process as an actor and viewer of the show.

Tune in tonight for a new episode of Underground at 10PM Eastern/9PM Central on WGN America.

Roz lives in the Los Angeles area, and has been a long time California girl. Despite her better judgment, she enjoys shows about the shallow sides of her home city, but will also find time to watch iZombie, Jane the Virgin, and much more. With a love of history, she also watches anything that is grounded in real life, including Victoria and black-ish. Having worked with children, she also follows shows she knows they watch (reminding her of those days of yore for her in the process). Contact her at roz@nicegirlstv.com.
