WOMEN OF THE WEEK

By  |

Some women just stand out when watching a show. We have a few this week we’d like to highlight as our Women of the Week

Dianne Doan as Yidu on Vikings
Nominated by Mynda: Dianne promised us the fourth episode of Vikings would reveal a lot about her characters relationship with Ragnar. I’d say getting The Viking King high qualifies! Ragnar loves anything “other” and Yidu proves she is much more than just a slave. Her scenes with Ragnar were captivating! BRAVA!

You can watch the scene that has us talking here.

Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Rosalee on Underground
Nominated by Roz: As a house slave with too much free spirit and too much heart, Rosalee make a painful sacrifice to her body to help her little brother in the pilot.
Nominated by Rueben: I was moved by Rosalee’s strong will in dealing not only with the bloody birth of that newborn baby (with a major assist from her mother, of course) but also the unfortunate demise of that poor little child. What she had to endure for her little brother was heartbreaking and how she “held up” later than same day at the birthday party of her owner’s (what a horrible word!) daughter, well, how many of us could have done that? What an amazing woman she is!!
