REVIEW: Christmas Comes Early to Nice Girls with “The Nutcracker Sweet”

I know, I know, Halloween isn’t even here yet and I’m talking about Christmas already. But when “The Nutcracker Sweet” arrived at my door this morning I couldn’t resist watching it and sharing with you all.

“The Nutcracker Sweet” hits stores on November 3rd, and features the voice talents of Alicia Silverstone (Clueless), Drake Bell (Drake & Josh, Ultimate Spider Man) and Ed Asner (Up). It’s the timeless story that’s familiar to us. An unforgettable journey of magic and holiday adventure. The film was produced by Aronnax Animation Studios and directed by Eduardo Schuldt (The Illusionauts).

“The Nutcracker Sweet” begins on Christmas Eve when the Silberhaus children Marie and Fritz, receive an unexpected gift from their godfather – a nutcracker doll. Soon caught in the enchanted present’s spell, the children are swept into a dangerous world and witness a great battle between a vast army of toy soldiers, led by the Nutcracker, against a terrible platoon of mice commanded by the evil Mouse King. Follow Marie and Fritz’s journey through the Kingdom of Dolls, through the Christmas Forest, past the Almond Milk Sea, and the Palace of the Marzipans.

Included in this DVD is a delightful behind the scenes look at the making of the magical story, along with interviews with its famous cast.
