THE FLASH: Grant Gustin previews season 2

By  |

When we last saw The Flash,  Eddie (Rick Cosnett) was dead of a heroic self-inflicted gunshot, Thawne/Wells (Tom Cavanagh) had ceased to exist, and a giant space-time vortex (aka The Singularity) was sucking up huge parts of Central City while Barry (Grant Gustin) ran into seemingly certain death trying to stop it. It’s an understatement to say that we were left with many questions to ponder.

Unfortunately, while I very much enjoyed getting to chat with most of the cast in the press room at San Diego Comic Con, they were under a tight gag order, so I can’t say that I got many of those questions answered, but we did get some more insight into season 1 and some vague teasers for season 2.

Grant Gustin was as charming and down-to-earth as always. We learned that [Spoiler Alert] Barry is apparently going to survive the Singularity and is going to get a new mentor this upcoming season. Grant shared that we will get to meet a bunch of new metahumans this season and that he loves his scenes with Jesse L Martin (Joe West)and John Wesley Shipp (Henry Allen). Check out the full interview below.

New episodes of The Flash start next Tuesday, October 6th, at 8/7c on The CW
