The Returns of Classic Alice and The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy

By  |

It was around this time last year that I did a spotlight on both the web series Classic Alice and The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy. So it only seemed right to revisit these delightful online shows since they will both be back this week with their second seasons. In fact, the first episode of the second season of Classic Alice went live today and the first new episode of the second season of The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy will go live on Friday.

As a refresher, Classic Alice comes from series creator and star Kate Hackett. It tells the story of Alice Rackham, a college student with a huge drive to succeed. Last season when she got a bad grade on an essay – because she wasn’t emotionally connecting to the material, she decided to take things a step further by living out her life according to classic novels.

With help from her friend Andrew Prichard (actor Tony Noto), who uses Alice’s unconventional plan to make a vlog-style documentary about the process, and her friend Cara Graves (actress Elise Cantu), Classic Alice was an interesting look at one girl’s life in college.

This time around Andrew and Alice; well, not to spoil anything, but you can watch the episodes yourself right here and check out their official site here.

Here is the final episode of season one of Classic Alice to gear you up for today’s season two premiere:

As for The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy, this homage to Peter Pan, featured Kyle Walters as Peter Pan, a late-twentysomething man-child and comic book artist in the small town of Neverland, Ohio and Paula Rhodes as Wendy Darling, the sweet friend (soon to be girlfriend) of Peter Pan who had her own advice vlog via through her family’s business. Brennan Murray and Graham Kurtz appeared as Wendy’s brothers Michael and John (respectively) and Lovlee Carroll as Lily Bagha, as the town’s wealthiest resident who has eyes for Peter.

The end of season one found Wendy leaving for a big job in the city and Peter deciding to stay in Neverland; and season two will find actors Jim Beaver (Bobby on Supernatural) and Percy Daggs III (Wallace on Veronica Mars) joining the cast as George Darling and Jas Hooks (respectively).

You can check out new episodes of The New Adventures of Peter and Wendy right here starting this Friday or follow them on YouTube here.
