HART OF DIXIE: Kablang {Recap}

By  |

Welcome back to Bluebell!

Life is complicated as always, but when isn’t it?

Love Lives:

Zoe’s trying her best to win Wade over, going so far as to cook a (bad) breakfast, to sing Johnny Cash, and to come out of the water soaking wet. Too bad she slept with him but it doesn’t mean they have a relationship. After enough pestering, Wade admits that he’s trying not to be in a relationship with Zoe because of how badly it wrecked his heart before.

Too many of the people in Bluebell try to set up Zoe and Wade after these two months (and change). Finally time for a heart to heart, Zoe opens up about what she wants (another chance) and Wade continues to say nothing about it. Thankfully Earl does his best to tell Wade to open up and not be so closed off, but only time will tell if that actually does any good.

Once Wade finally admits that he wants a relationship, Zoe tells him it’s too late and that they’re over before they started again.

Brick’s Mother is trying to set him up, after all the success she feels with Lemon on the cruise. Too bad as they’re discussing one bad day, Shelby shows back up to seduce him.

George and Lavon are still fighting over Lemon’s love. Lemon arrives home early from her cruise – with a new beau in hand – and now Bettie’s going to be all about that relationship. By the end, Lemon admits that she and Henry were a rouse but when AB tells Lemon about the pregnancy, it’s not Lemon’s blood, but Zoe’s. (Shocker!)

The show does a time-skip and goes ahead two months and things are more awkward for Zoe and Wade as well as George and Lavon versus Lemon and her new beau, Henry. Shelby’s still around – with her baby – and now successfully in a relationship with Brick, even if they’re hiding it from everyone.

Turns out that the woman who was in town to help all the volunteers turn into a fire station wants a date with Crickett.

Town Gossip:

After the fire, Tom tries to get a volunteer fire crew from the citizens. That goes about as well as you can expect. By the end of the episode, the team is ready, but petty squabbles over women keep the group from passing their test.

Crickett’s first Belles meeting is full of all the awkward questions that they want to know. Graceful as always, she answers them, and also shares some of her own story. How long until the rest of the town knows that all?

Because of the failed relationship between Zoe and Wade, Zoe can’t even eat in town, and that just say everything about the town.

In only one episode, there’s already so much going on. Fake relationships, potentially secret pregnancies, secret relationships and plenty more, I’m sure.

Hart of Dixie comes back to The CW on January 9th.

Roz lives in the Los Angeles area, and has been a long time California girl. Despite her better judgment, she enjoys shows about the shallow sides of her home city, but will also find time to watch iZombie, Jane the Virgin, and much more. With a love of history, she also watches anything that is grounded in real life, including Victoria and black-ish. Having worked with children, she also follows shows she knows they watch (reminding her of those days of yore for her in the process). Contact her at roz@nicegirlstv.com.
