Dominion as most of you know is a spin-off of the feature film Legion. Both men shared their story on how they became involved with the series. Wilmott describes a very positive experience in speaking with the producers of Legion and discovering whether or not their would be a sequel or a TV Series.  When he pitched it  he says “They really kind of responded to the way I was seeing it. I met with Scott Steward…and also the co-writer of the movie Legion. And I got the gig.”

He further describes the scene that inspired him to continue the story on TV. When I saw the two brothers, Gabriel and Michael fighting one the baby and having very different perspectives on what should happen to that baby and what that baby means, that was it.”
“That baby grows up, 25 years later he’s a grown man, what’s happening to him now, what the the two archangels doing, what are they up to. And that’s where it began, that’s where I started building out the series.”

Vaun continues to add: ” I got to say this has been one of those crazy projects that has been, like- just a blessing, you know, in terms of – it just came out of me….I had this weird state that I went into that I ended up writing the original script in four days…. for me it was just a- one joy after another.”

Chris Egan attests that he was very impressed with Vaun and Scott’s vision for the pilot and where they wanted to take the show. “I was completely blown away. And I loved the idea that we were taking this to Cape Town, South Africa as well.”

This show is based on Legion but, make no mistake, it is a complete story in it’s own right. Whether people liked Legion or not, Chris Egan asks viewers to give Dominion a shot. “Essentially this is a hero’s journey, this is a hero’s story, this is Alex, this is his discovery of himself. And you know, really it’s a bout taking the audience with him. I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised. It really is a completely different world to where the movie is at.”

Dominion premieres, Thursday, June 19 at 9 p.m. ET on SyFy. Stay tuned to NiceGirlsTV.com all week for more information regarding this exciting new series.
