Interviews

FULL CIRCLE: Julian McMahon and David Boreanaz Discuss Motivation, Exploring Duality in Characters and More

By  |

DirecTV’s new series, Full Circle by playwright Neil LaBute, depicts a series of dinners at an LA restaurant featuring different diners who end up all being connected. Each episode centers on two characters and the tangled drama of their relationship. One of them returns with another character in the following episode to reveal a whole new aspect of the riveting story. What happens when it all comes full circle?

In the third episode of DirecTV’s Full Circle, the audience finds themselves meeting Jace (David Boreanaz), a comedian client of Stanley (Julian McMahon). Jace has had a very bad night on a late night show which lead to the death of a fan of Jace’s work. Their dinner, like many things in Jace’s life these days, is all about damage control.

In the forth, Jace meets Chan’Dra (Keke Palmer), the sister of the fan who killed himself following Jace’s interview. Their conversation, even more than Jace’s with his lawyer, is even more fraught with emotion, as Chan’Dra begs Jace to come to the memorial for her brother.

NGTV was invited to the set to visit with the cast, and interviewed Julian and David about their experience on the show, the duality of all their characters and just how much real life David could draw from to be a comedian.

Come back next week to see the interview with Keke Palmer, where she discusses her episode with Boreanaz as well as her lunch with Cliff, a schoolmate.
