NICE BOY OF THE WEEK: Jonny Lee Miller
Our Nice Boy of the Week is Jonny Lee Miller star of CBS Elementary. Born into an acting family his Mother was a stage producer and his Father was a stage actor.
His grandfather was Bernard Lee who played M in the first eleven James Bond movies. Jonny almost had his own chance to play James Bond when he was considered for the role that eventually went to Daniel Craig.
Miller left school at 17 to pursue acting, something that paid off after he got his big break in the movie Hackers. It was on Hackers that he met Angelina Jolie, who he would end up married to for 18 months.
On the suggestion of Ewan McGregor Jonny was cast in Trainspotting a role which earned him quite a bit of recognition. He worked consistently in movies before trying out TV in the short lived series Smith. Jonny went on to star in Eli Stone for two seasons.
Thankfully Jonny did not give up on TV and after a turn on Dexter landed the role of Sherlock opposite Lucy Liu on CBS’s Elementary.
In 2006 he married actress Michele Hicks with whom he has a son. When not acting Miller is an avid runner often participating in marathons.
Jonny Lee Miller can be seen in Elementary on Thursday’s at 10/9c on CBS
