Actress Britt Robertson has appeared in the critically acclaimed drama Life Unexpected and the teen-oriented drama The Secret Circle over the last few TV seasons; and now she has landed a role in the upcoming CBS summer series Under the Dome, which is based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King.

The series will follow residents in the Chester’s Mill community as they deal with the post-apocalyptic conditions that ensue when a strange barrier mysteriously encapsulates the town, trapping them inside.

Robertson will play Angie, an attractive young waitress and aspiring nurse who has always dreamed of escaping Chester’s Mill.

The cast of the new summer series already includes actress Natalie Martinez (CSI: NY), newcomer Alex Koch and actor Colin Ford (We Bought a Zoo and young Sam on Supernatural).
