SMASH Casting: Leslie Odom Jr. Has Been Upped to Series Regular

And the casting news just keeps coming!

Actor Leslie Odom Jr., who plays Sam, the love interest of lyricist Tom Levitt (Christian Borle) has been promoted to series regular on the NBC musical Smash when it returns for its second season.

This news comes just days after the announcement of Karen (Katharine McPhee) getting a new roommate in the form of theatre vet Krysta Rodriguez and Oscar winner and American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson will be joining the cast next fall too.
