Recently I’ve had a few inquiries following up on my recap of “The Shepherd”, the Once Upon a Time episode revealing that Prince James is not, in fact, Prince James. In my recap, I mentioned that the writers did an excellent job of not referring to the twin, the Prince we know, by his real name but that the script referred to him as “Will” by my recollection.
It was a throwaway sidebar at the time; not something I thought would draw much attention. But it did! So I tracked down the script pages for that character to confirm that his name is “Will” and…it’s not. Thanks, faulty memory. In fact, his name is Richard and his mother’s name is/was Ruth. I can’t post full script pages without revealing a source, but here’s a snippet if you’re in need of empirical evidence of the character’s name.
