SHERLOCK: Sneak a Peek at the New Season with Benedict Cumberbatch

By  |

Sherlock won over viewers and critics alike with its contemporary take on Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic detective last year. Season 2 launches in the UK in January before traveling across The Pond to premiere on PBS on May 6, and we’ve got a sneak peek at what’s to come!

In its second season, Sherlock presents three 90-minute episodes for us to enjoy Benedict Cumberbatch as the brilliant but socially stunted detective and Martin Freeman as his more savvy sidekick Dr. Watson. In the season opener, “A Scandal in Belgravia” adapted from “A Scandal in Bohemia,” we see Holmes matching wits with  brilliant adventuress Irene Adler (played by True Blood alum, Lara Pulver).

Also on tap for season 2:  Gothic horror “The Hounds of the Baskervilles” forms the basis of Episode 2, “The Hounds of Baskerville,” written by Mark Gatiss, and Stephen Thompson adapts “The Reichenbach Fall” for the thrilling season finale.
