Necessary Roughness Recap: Baggage Claim

By  |

This week’s episode of Necessary Roughness was filled with themes of letting go and moving forward.

Dr. Dani takes on a new client, Anne Marie Harmon. A Martha Stewart-esque woman of all trades, Anne Marie’s empire includes both media and homemaking. While her life seems like a dream to others, her recent out bursts of anger led her to Dr. Dani. Initially, like most of Dani’s A-list clients, Anne Marie resists the treatment. However, when Dani realizes that her problem is letting go she opens up so that she can move on and finally have love. Anne Marie’s hoarding had caused her to alienate people and become extremely angry. Dani finally figures out that Anne Marie had a child and gave it up, which is why she now has trouble letting go of things.

Dani and her family are also letting go…of their stuff that is. Dani wants to hold a yard sale to get rid of all their junk (aka things that remind her of Ray). While Dani is ready to move forward her mother seems unable to give away certain things. On the night of Dani’s 18th wedding anniversary her mother comes over and brings Matt! Dani realizes that she needs to let her mother heal as well, because losing Ray was a change in her family just as it was for Dani. Things are great by the end of the night when Dani and Matt finally share a kiss! (And he tells her that he wants her!) FINALLY! This moment was a long time coming and I for one am extremely happy about it.

Back in the world of TK, TK is dating Vivica but she won’t sleep with him. His attempts come up short causing Vivica to leave one night extremely angry. To relieve some stress TK goes out and finds a new girl to mess around with; however, he is unable to perform in bed! Dani and Matt help TK realize that he wants to take Vivica to the grocery store (apparently if a man wants to take you to the grocery store, he likes you). Vivica and TK make up and even make it to the bedroom in the end. Score for TK.

In other Hawks news Marshall Pittman’s wife shows up with information that Pittman may sell the team. This would be the most surprising tidbit of info here if not for the fact that NICO HAD AN AFFAIR WITH HER! Woah, did not see that one coming.

What did you think of this week’s episode? Are you happy about Dani and Matt finally together? Do you think TK could become a one-woman man? Will Pittman sell the Hawks?
