THE VAMPIRE DIARIES: Bloody (and Fruity?) New Posters for Season 3

The CW has just released four new posters from season three of The Vampire Diaries, returning this fall. These are beautifully done but very creepy, featuring Damon (Ian Somerhalder) holding a bloody apple; Klaus (Joseph Morgan) holding a bloody pear; Elena (Nina Dobrev) holding a bloody pomegranate; Stefan (Paul Wesley) holding what looks like a bloody peach or plum. Why am I thinking about this week’s episode of True Blood?

The Vampire Diaries returns Sept. 15 at 8/7c on the CW.
