The Nine Lives of Chloe King Recap: Girls Night Out

By  |

This week on the Nine Lives of Chloe King, Chloe gets some surprise visitors, two Mai from South America. Nikki and Lilah come as both a shock to Chloe and to Jasmine, who is more suspicious than her naïve Uniter. Their visit is kicked off strangely when one says to Jasmine, “Uniter belongs to all of us”…creepy.

In other Chloe news, her dad emailed back! Is it just me or wasn’t he supposed to be dead? Chloe is suspicious as well and asks him to send her a message so she’s sure. His response, Hanna Hannity and the cable car—or something—either way, what does it mean!!! Chloe asks her mother if she remembers and discovers Hanna Hannity was a story that Chloe and her father made up when she was only a mere-tot. Perhaps her father really is the one on the other end? If so, why has he been hiding out pretending to be dead?

Back in the human world Amy is having a few issues with Paul, apparently there perfect relationship isn’t so perfect, and Amy wants Paul to kick it up a notch in the romance department. Perhaps a best friend doesn’t also make the best boy friend? To sort things out for Amy, Chloe spills the beans to Paul and tells him to take things to the next level. Obviously Paul did not get the memo that she meant romantically and surprised Amy by lying naked in her bed. Wrong move Paul.

Chloe, Amy and the Mai girls go dancing—of course all the while Jasmine is questionably unhappy and, like the prefect bodyguard, always on her toes looking for danger. The night is going great for the girls…not so much for the guys though as getting clawed in the bathroom after kissing a hot girl would be sort of a bummer. Luckily, Nikki’s kiss kills her victims so they don’t feel any pain, or not. Either way, it is clear that these two catty ladies are here to stir up trouble.

On a sad note: Brian is leaving! It can’t be!!! While his relationship with Chloe is extremely dangerous for his own health, how can you not love his adorable charm? He asks Chloe to dinner as a goodbye on his last night in town, but after the new Mai ladies meet him, Chloe decides to cut things short. She ends their relationship with some severe bluntness claiming that they wouldn’t stay in touch anyway (wonder where she got that idea from…cough, cough Jasmine, cough). Luckily for us Brian decides to go work for Daddy as a means of snooping/not going back to school. He thinks he’s so clever but in actuality his father has a hidden camera in the office and is totally onto Brian’s little act of espionage. At least things are all right again with Chloe and Brian’s not-relationship-friendship thing they have going.

In the end Chloe and Jasmine take on the evil Mai sisters (whose Mai pride combined with years of persecution has led them to believe that they are a superior race to humans). We find out that the sisters came to San Fran to try and convince Chloe to go back to Brazil with them, willing or not. (Apparently everyone wants the Uniter on their side.) While fighting in an ally Nikki accidentally electrocutes herself, getting killed in the process, and warding off Lilah.

Looks like Chloe is safe for now, at least until next week…
