ABC Family isn’t keeping this secret – Pretty Little Liars was given an order for 12 additional episodes, bringing its first season total to 22 episodes. Not bad considering only 3 episodes have aired so far. No word yet on whether the series will run straight through its first season or take a brief hiatus.
“Pretty Little Liars is a break-out hit for the network,” said Kate Juergens, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Development. “We’re thrilled that our Millennial viewers have responded so strongly to the show. It’s a perfect fit with the network’s strong slate of original scripted dramas, including The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Make It or Break It.”
A new episode of Pretty Little Liars airs tomorrow night at 8/7c on ABC Family.
