They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 50)

Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving of more attention or perhaps even their own show:

Michelle Harrison

Michelle Harrison – Some of Michelle’s earliest television work included appearances in Poltergeist: The Legacy, First Wave, Stargate: SG-1 and The Outer Limits. She has guest starred in episodes of John Doe, The Dead Zone, Andromeda, Tru Calling, NCIS, House, Cold Case and The L Word. Her movie roles include 40 Days and 40 Nights, Paycheck, The Invisible, Good Luck Chuck and Love Happens. She has been seen in the made-for-TV movies Snow White, Lucky 7, Held Hostage, The Capture of the Green River Killer and Lying to be Perfect. Most recent she has appeared in episodes of Fringe, V and Supernatural. She also appeared in the short-lived Canadian series Wild Roses.

Kristin Lehman

Kristin Lehman – Kristin has a long resume of appearance included episodes of The Commish, Forever Knight, Due South, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, The X-Files and Earth: Final Conflict. She then had a recurring role in the series Poltergeist: The Legacy. She had guest roles in Felicity, The Outer Limits, Strange World and Judging Amy. She appeared in the short-lived shows Century City, Tilt and Drive. Most recently she appeared in an episode of Human Target and appeared in the box office movie The Sentinel. She was also just cast in the AMC dram pilot The Killing.

Miracle Laurie

Miracle Laurie – Miracle is a newcomer, appearing in her first major role in the Joss Whedon series Dollhouse alongside Elisa Dushku and Tahmoh Penikett but she did appear in an episode of the short-lived series Medical Investigation. She got her start in modeling as a teen, is an accomplished Polynesian dancer as well as an accomplished ukulele player in the cover band Uke Box Heroes.

Sean Maher

Sean Maher – Sean got his start in the short-lived series Ryan Caulfield: Year One before appearing in several episodes of Party of Five and the short-lived series The $treet. He is best known for his role in Firefly and the box office movie Serenity. He also appeared in the made-for-TV movies Brian’s Song and The Dive from Clausen’s Pier and guest roles in CSI: Miami, Ghost Whisperer and Drop Dead Diva. He most recently was seen in The Mentalist and Human Target. He will also be seen in an upcoming episode of Warehouse 13 alongside former Firefly co-star Jewel Staite.

Chris Mulkey

Chris Mulkey – Chris has a very long resume dating back to the mid-1970’s with appearance in classic series like Barnaby Jones and Charlie’s Angels as well as The Waltons and CHiPS. In the 80’s he had guest starring roles in T.J. Hooker, Magnum, P.I. and Matlock. In the early 1990’s he appeared in several episodes of Twin Peaks, had roles in thirtysomething, Grace Under Fire and Murder, She Wrote. He had a recurring role in the series Any Day Now and appeared in episodes of Boomtown, JAG, Lost, Cold Case and Criminal Minds. He also appeared in several episodes of Friday Night Lights and Saving Grace and guest starred on NCIS, CSI: NY, 24, In Plain Sight and Human Target. His movie work is also just a lengthy as his TV roles, including Cloverfield, North Country, Behind Enemy Lines (among many others and the TV mini-series Broken Trail. He has three current projects: (818), Collapse and Motel de Garcia.

Leland Orser

Leland Orser – Leland’s first TV appearance was in the short-lived series Gabriel’s Fire, but he then followed that with guest starring roles in the comedies The Golden Girls, Empty Nest and Cheers. He appeared in several episodes of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He also appeared in numerous episodes of Married with Children, NYPD Blue and The Pretender. He is probably best known for his role in the latter part of ER and several episodes of 24. His film work includes Taken with Liam Neeson, Runaway Jury, Daredevil, Pearl Harbor, The Bone Collector and Saving Private Ryan. He has one project in the works called Morning, starring alongside his wife Jeanne Tripplehorn.
