ABC Family Has Your Pretty Little Liars

This summer ABC Family will premiere its new scripted series, Pretty Little Liars, on Tuesday nights beginning June 8. Pretty Little Liars is a one-hour scripted drama based on a popular book series of the same name, and stars Lucy Hale (Privileged), Holly Marie Combs (Charmed), Chad Lowe (24), Laura Leighton (Melrose Place), Ian Harding, Bianca Lawson, Shay Mitchell, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson,  and Sasha Pieterse.

There are some familiar faces in this series; Lucy Hale is a Nice Girls favorite as is Holly Marie Combs, for any Charmed fans out there. I’m glad Bianca Lawson found a home on this show. I liked her in The Vampire Diaries, even though her role was short-lived.

I haven’t heard too much about this series, but if it’s as good as the official synopsis says and the teaser trailer shows, I’ll probably give it a go. In a nutshell, four best friends reunite a year after a fifth best friend goes missing. Suddenly, they all start receiving messages from a mysterious “A” who knows all their nastiest secrets. Of course I’m thinking the fifth best friend is “A”, but what if it’s not? We’ll find out in June!
