2009

Start your holiday TV viewing off tonight with Frosty’s Winter Wonderland, then sit tight as ABC Family begins their Harry Potter weekend.

An all-star cast lends its talents to this Christmas special shot in “animagic” (stop-motion animated puppetry). Everyone’s favorite snowman, Frosty, plans to marry, but not if the evil Jack Frost can help it. Can the children save Frosty from being frozen lifeless and get him to the church on time? This special is narrated by Andy Griffith and features the classic songs “Frosty the Snowman” and “Winter Wonderland.” (Animated) (7:00-7:30 PM ET/PT)

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Remember when Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson were this young? Go back to where it all began, tonight, in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Based on the first of J.K. Rowling’s popular children’s novels about Harry Potter, the family adventure film “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” tells the story of a boy who learns on his 11th birthday that he is the orphaned son of two powerful wizards and possesses unique magical powers of his own. Invited to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) embarks on the adventure of a lifetime. At Hogwarts, he finds the home and the family he has never had. (Live Action) (7:30-11:00 PM ET/PT)
