USA To Expand Character Arcade

By  |

If you’re like me and you spend most of your day in front of a computer comig up with Very Important Documents and Reports, then sometimes you need a break to recharge your mental batteries. Fortunately USA Network has a place to waste lots of company time come up with your next great idea: the Character Arcade. Currently the site has a handful of games ranging from mahjongg to a Bejeweled-type rock game, plus Psych Food Fight and Monk’s Shuiborhood (as in fung shui), but the site is going to be expanding in a big way over the next couple of months.

USA Network announced that they’ve partnered with several new partners, including NeoEdge and Bigpoint, to provide an expanded selection of games to nearly double USA’s game roster by the end of 2009, and Bunchball will drive a unique rewards and points platform connected to sites like Facebook and Twitter. The revamped gaming portal will offer fans a destination that goes beyond game-play, including access to gamer portfolio tools, social networking, an affinity program, industry news, chat/blog forums and new gaming options, including PC, downloadable and MMO titles.

I’m crossing my fingers for a Psych “Sims”-type game so I can hide pineapples and make Gus run like a girl.
