Hi Cyn, thanks for stopping by. Glad to see someone else in the Lacey/Tony camp! So far in the books there's just some flirting going on between the two of them, but perhaps their chemistry on the show will influence the author to move things along? Here's hoping. :)

I agree with your review completely. I watched Killer Hair and liked the actress playing Lacey enough to watch Hostile Makeover. She's an engaging actress and yes, there is something about her character and the newsroom personalities that reminds me of the era of Hepburn and Tracey. I completely agree that there is no real spark between the actor playing Vic and Lacey and I'd much rather the movies took a turn into AU territory and she got together with Tony. There is much more sizzle to their relationship, I like the Mark C. better (I think he's cuter) and the relationship doesn't feel as forced. I actually came across your review while trying to find out whether Lacey and Tony ever get together in the books. I'm not really a mystery buff and while I like the Lacey character I'm not enamored enough of the vintage fashion of Vic to want to read the series (unless she gets together with Tony of course). I'll content myself with hoping the movies did well enough that they'll make more and maybe some sparks will develop in the future.
