NGTV Guide: Monday, October 27

By  |

It’s Monday and that can mean only one thing – time to curl up in front of the TV for a marathon of great shows!

NOTE: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is pre-empted tonight for the World Series.

Gossip Girl – the CW 8/7c
“Pret-a-Poor-J” – Jenny (Taylor Momsen) befriends a young model, Agnes (guest star Willa Holland), who encourages Jenny to not only explore her wild side, but also confront her boss, Eleanor Waldorf (guest star Margaret Colin), who is attempting to “borrow” Jenny’s designs. Serena (Blake Lively) and Dan (Penn Badgley) agree to attend an art opening at Rufus’ (Matthew Settle) gallery as friends, but the outing gets a little uncomfortable after Serena meets an artist, Aaron Rose (guest star John Patrick Amedori), and realizes they have an instant chemistry. Blair (Leighton Meester) attempts to seduce Chuck (Ed Westwick), but it proves tougher than she ever imagined.

Chuck – NBC 8/7c
“Chuck vs. Tom Sawyer” – Life in espionage takes its toll on Chuck (Zachary Levi) and everyone is taking notice. Chuck tries to explain his unusual behavior to Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) and to the quirky Buy More efficiency expert Emmett Milbarge (guest star Tony Hale), but a new assignment only complicates things. After a global terrorist comes searching for Jeff (Scott Krinsky), Chuck is forced to socialize with Jeff in order to find out what role the oddball plays in the mission. Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski), Casey (Adam Baldwin) and Chuck are all shocked when they discover that the fate of the world and the prevention of World War III rest in Jeff’s hands.

Heroes – NBC 9/8c
“Eris Quod Sum” – Trapped and terrified, Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) and Tracy (Ali Larter) fight for their lives against a much-changed, monstrous Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) to free themselves, Maya (Dania Ramirez) and the doctor’s other “test subjects.” Elle (guest star Kristen Bell) returns, with a shock for Claire (Hayden Panettiere) and her family. Meanwhile, aware of Peter’s (Milo Ventimiglia) ruthless take down by her rivals at Pinehearst, Angela (Cristine Rose) reaches out to convince Sylar (Zachary Quinto) to save his brother. Since he won’t sign up with the Villains, Daphne (guest star Brea Grant) is ordered by her boss to go back and kill Matt (Greg Grunberg) — or be killed herself. While in awe of the African precog’s power, Hiro (Masi Oka) still questions Usutu’s (guest star Ntare Mwine) advice on how to best face his gathering opponents.

Samantha Who? – ABC 9:30/8:30c
“The Pill” – After Dr. Andy (Tony Hale, “who also begins a recurring role on Chuck tonight!) gives Samantha pills as part of a clinical trial to help people with memory loss, she begins to regain multiple memory fragments — all reminding her of how bad she used to be. But she discovers one pleasant reminder from the past that could have changed her life forever. Meanwhile, when Andrea and Dena are mistaken for a gay couple, Andrea tries to prove that she could hook up with a much hotter woman than Dena.

My Own Worst Enemy – NBC 10/9c
“Hello, Henry” – Edward (Christian Slater) is tasked by Mavis (Alfre Woodard) to go to Mexico in order attain schematics to Russia’s next generation nuclear bomb and finds himself double-crossed. Meanwhile Henry (Slater) agrees to meet with an inquiring FBI Agent (guest star Tim Kelleher, “Flash of Genius”) after discovering Edward inadvertently put his daughter Ruthy (Bella Thorne) in danger. Tom’s (Mike O’Malley) wife Mary Grady (Missy Yager, “Boston Public”) hires a P.I. after she begins to suspect Tom’s many business trips are really something more.

BTW, did you guys know that last week’s use of “the hummingbird” position in bed rocketed that term to #1 on the Google search charts on Monday? Too bad only Edward Albright and his partner know what that means!

That’s a lot of TV in one night! Are you watching what we’re watching? What did you think of tonight’s TV?
