New Show Alert (with Jason Dohring)!

We’ve been hearing rumors for months that Jason Dohring had something in the works, and now it’s finally out: he’ll be co-starring in a new HBO series called Washingtonienne. Based on Jessica Cutler’s book, Washingtonienne revolves around the professional and personal lives of three smart, sophisticated 28-year-old girls working on Capitol Hill.  Jason will play Spencer, a senior legislative assistant for the same senator for whom the lead, Jackie (Rachel Taylor), works.

Take a look at the blog the book was born out of here; just the history of the blog – initials instead of names, sex scandals and drinking on Capitol Hill, the blog deleted as soon as Wonkette found it, Wonkette preserving it anyway – makes for a titillating read.
