As Louise predicted on last week’s NGTV radio show, recently available producer Diane Ruggiero (she left The Ex List a couple of weeks ago, citing irreconcible differences with CBS) has hooked up with Rob Thomas for his remake of Cupid.

“She starts today for me,” Rob told Kristin at E! this morning. “I couldn’t be happier.”

Ruggiero and Thomas were co-executive producers of a little show called Veronica Mars, dearly loved by the Nice Girls. I’ve been eagerly awaiting the Cupid remake for more than a year and this latest development just makes me giddy! I’ll miss Ruggiero’s voice on The Ex List, but am thrilled that she’ll be on what will probably be my favorite mid-season show.
