The things I Notice

While I sipped on a vodka tonic and watched the new 90210, I kept looking at a character and wondering why he looks so familiar to me.

The more I watched (and liked), the more this one guy kept stick in my mind. Luckily for the internet I was able to figure out who was playing the character. Next came the problem of the name sounding far too familiar still. In some sort of haze, I went in search of my freshmen high school yearbook, and lo and behold, the actor was a senior.

Of course, this made watching the rest of the episode a bit more difficult, as I couldn’t separate my internal flailing at someone I remotely knew being involved with the show. Even watching again this morning, I couldn’t get the idea of the guy I watched in Comedy Sportz (competitive improv) was now part of the new group at West Beverly High.

Ah well, now I have another reason to watch besides my perchance for pretty people in LA doing stupid things.

About Louise

Louise lives in the Los Angeles area, and has been a long time California girl. Despite her better judgment, she enjoys shows about the shallow sides of her home city, but will also find time to watch Glee, Bones, Supernatural, Doctor Who, Weeds, Leverage and Mad Men. She also enjoys other science fiction shows on right now, as well as the occasional show about high school athletics. Having worked with children, she also follows shows she knows they watch (reminding her of those days for her in the process). Contact her at louise@nicegirlstv.com.

How random! Or not, considering you went to school in the L.A. area. :)

Oh, just had to add, I live 75 miles from Wichita, KS and I know that the capital of Kansas is Topeka!

Well, I’ve had friends be on other shows (mostly reality stuff from MTV, like the girl in one of the Making the Band bands), but it’s never been this big where I think he’ll get more work. I’m just floored. All I can say.

Melissa, I live in greater LA and I know the capital of Kansas. Those kids are just dumb, or uninterested in geography.
